WHO AM I?
Simply put,
I love Jesus more than myself. I don't just love Jesus, as so many would say, but I love Jesus and will always choose His will over mine.
I trust Jesus. I have learned I can trust Jesus no matter what. That He knows how to lead a dumb sheep like me. (I know, nobody likes to think they're dumb, but just look at some of the dumb decisions you've made in life. Jesus never made a dumb decision.) I have learned that His wisdom is greater than my ignorance. So no matter how hard I try, lets be real, we will still make dumb decisions at times, but Jesus is able to lead a dumb sheep like me. That is very comforting for the child of God that is trying.
I blieve in God's Word. God's Word has absolute authority over my life. The Bible is not a book of suggestions, but rather His voice that guides us into all righteousness. I am grieved over the deplorable neglect of God's Word in the Church, which is a primary cause for the pitiful condition we see in what is often refered to as the Church.
I believe in the Body of Christ. Jesus one time refered to those that did His will as His family. Those that are in the Church have a unique relationship that no one in the world can have apart from a personal relationship with Christ. But once that person becomes a part of the Body of Christ they become part of the Family of God, which affords them a relationship with other believers that transcends all other worldly relationships.
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. This means He rules my life. I don't get to pick and choose how I want to obey Jesus, I believe all Jesus commands me to do is essential to a healthy and mature relationship as a believer in Christ.
I believe God's Got This. There is no situation in life where God is not the Supreme Authority, and all He does in my life works for my good. I don't believe the devil can get the better of me as long as I am putting my faith in the God of the Bible.
This list can go on, because I believe in The God of the Bible and I am striving each day to know Him more.
